A TimberTech PRO Gold contractor — and what that gets you

Hols & Co is registered with TimberTech at the Gold tier of its contractor program. A TimberTech deck we build carries TimberTech's labor warranty on top of the product warranty.

TimberTech decks we build

TimberTech is the decking and railing brand of The AZEK Company, and in 2026 Hols & Co joined The Board, the program TimberTech runs for the contractors who install it. The program rates its members by how much TimberTech they actually put in the ground each year, not by a course taken, and Hols & Co sits at the Gold tier. The badges on this page are the ones TimberTech issues at that level. The AZEK Company has been a James Hardie company since July 2025, and TimberTech has added James Hardie to the program; the James Hardie page has that side of it.

What Gold means, and what it doesn't

The Board has four tiers, and TimberTech moves a contractor between them on installed volume, re-rated each year. Gold is the second-highest. It changes two practical things for you. First, the labor warranty term: Gold and Platinum contractors carry the longest terms TimberTech offers. Second, access: TimberTech's training, install guidelines, and product support come straight to the crew that builds your deck, not to a salesperson two steps removed from it.

What it doesn't mean is that TimberTech vouches for the workmanship. Its own wording is that program contractors are independent professionals, and the labor warranty triggers on a defect in the product, not on how the deck was framed. The footings below the frost line, the flashing at the ledger, the joist spacing, and the written scope are on us, the same as every deck we build. TimberTech doesn't certify installers; it registers them, so we don't call ourselves certified.

The labor warranty, in plain terms

TimberTech's Limited Replacement Labor Warranty sits on top of the product warranty. If a board is found defective under the product warranty, TimberTech pays the reasonable labor to replace and dispose of it, or sends a contractor of its choosing to do it. At the Gold tier that coverage runs ten years on TimberTech Advanced PVC and the premium composite collections when the deck is fastened with TimberTech fasteners, and twelve years when it also carries a full TimberTech railing system, posts to top rail. The base composite collections carry six and eight years on the same terms. Put TimberTech aluminum framing under the deck and each of those terms grows by another ten; the up-to-12-years we quote elsewhere assumes wood framing.

The conditions are worth knowing before you pick a board. The fasteners have to be TimberTech's own, the railing has to be the complete system, the deck has to be installed to TimberTech's published guidelines, and you register both the product warranty and the labor warranty with TimberTech after the build, which we walk you through. It covers installs completed after June 25, 2026, and it can be transferred once to a new owner within the first five years. It is not a workmanship warranty, and we won't describe it as one.

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is Hols & Co a certified TimberTech installer?

TimberTech doesn't certify installers; it registers them through The Board, its contractor program, and rates them by installed volume. Hols & Co is registered at the Gold tier. That's the whole credential, and it's a meaningful one: the labor warranty terms on this page exist because of it. Ask us for the tier certificate if you want to see it.

Do I need TimberTech railing to get the labor warranty?

No. With TimberTech decking and TimberTech fasteners, the Gold-tier term is ten years on the premium collections and six on the base ones. Add a full TimberTech railing system and those become twelve and eight. What you can't do is mix in another brand's fasteners or a partial rail kit and keep the coverage, so if the warranty matters to you, say so before the material list is written.
